There is much learning done in play and a lot foundational and cognitive skills are built through play so while we will never discourage them from playing they are required to work on core subjects at a certain part of the day so its short lived that they will just play all day when they see their peers working on core work. We encourage them to work hard so they can play hard but do not force anyone to do their core subjects. We desire them to understand that this is what is best for them and they should than make good choices in pursuit of chasing their dreams.

At the beginning of each year each child is interviewed and asked what they want to accomplish in the year in different areas and we evaluate and check through out the year. Child work on badges (think boy scouts). Each child also has a portfolio compiled through out the year of things they work on at the studio. We also hope that students come home excited to share what they are learning and the parents can see this for themselves.
